When we launched the Loka Doratu initiative ලෝක දොරටු, meaning “Global Doors” we made a simple promise: that every partnership with Webco Talent would do more than grow a business. It would open
doors for children who need them most.
Today, we are proud and humbled to share that we have welcomed two more deserving students into the Loka Doratu program – Oneli and Pabadi, both from a school in a suburban area of Colombo where resources and opportunity can be hard to come by for the underprivileged communities.
None of this would be possible without you – our clients. Every time you partner with us, $50 per resource
per month is directed into this initiative at no additional cost to you. It is our quiet commitment; woven into
the way we do business. And it is making a real difference.

Some children carry the weight of the world quietly. Oneli is one of them.
At just 12 years old, Oneli consistently ranks first in her class – a remarkable achievement by any standard, but even more extraordinary when you understand what she carries outside the classroom walls.
Her father is partially blind and unable to maintain consistent work. Her mother works part-time to keep the family afloat. As the youngest of two children, Oneli has grown up in a home where every rupee is carefully
counted, yet she arrives at school each day with her head held high and her determination intact.
What struck our team when we found out about Oneli was not just her academic record – it was her spirit. Her warmth. Her absolute refusal to let her circumstances become her ceiling.
Through the Loka Doratu program, we are proud to support Oneli with essential educational resources – from school supplies and uniforms to tuition support – to ensure that the financial pressures at home never
become a reason for her to stop learning.
We are honoured to be part of her journey, and we cannot wait to see where that bright, determined mind takes her.

Pabadi’s story is one that quietly took our breath away.
This Grade 6 student lives in a home shaped by hardship. Her mother suffers from a neurological illness and is unable to manage most daily household tasks. Her father works as a grass cutter (i.e. garden labourer)
physically demanding work that he does every day to keep his family together. The gap her mother’s illness leaves at home is largely filled by Pabadi’s elder sister, who takes on most of the household responsibilities so the family can function.
And through all of it, Pabadi studies.
That achievement alone should have opened the door to a much better national school. But financial constraints made the transfer impossible. So Pabadi stayed in her current school, studied harder, and kept dreaming bigger.
Her perseverance is the kind of thing that reminds you why initiatives like Loka Doratu matter. Not because we can solve everything – but because the right support, at the right time, can keep a door from closing permanently.
We are deeply inspired by Pabadi and proud to walk alongside her as she continues to build her future, one school day at a time.

It would be easy to frame Loka Doratu purely as a corporate social responsibility initiative. But it is more personal than that for us.
Webco Talent was built on the belief that when business grows, it should lift people with it. Our team in Colombo, Sri Lanka are extraordinary professionals who show up every day with skill, dedication, and pride. They are part of someone’s team. Someone’s growth story. And through Loka Doratu, the communities they come from are part of that story too.
When you choose Webco Talent, you are not just gaining a staffing partner. You are contributing without any additional cost or effort on your part to a child’s ability to go to school with the right shoes, the right books, and the confidence that someone believes in them.
To every client who has worked with us past, present, and future – we offer our sincerest gratitude. You
make Oneli’s and Pabadi’s next chapter possible. And for that, we are truly thankful.

Loka Doratu – meaning “Global Doors” in Sinhala – is a Webco Talent initiative that allocates $50 per resource per month from our service fees to provide educational support for underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Support covers school uniforms, shoes, books, stationery, supplies, and tuition – the everyday essentials that keep a child in school and moving forward.
Clients receive regular updates on the children their partnership supports, so the impact is always visible, human, and real.
